Respect the Deflategate Community

This site is about sports and sports are competitive. Therefore, we don’t expect everyone to hold hands and sing Kumbaya. We understand that arguments are inevitable and expected. Just show a bit of restraint and do your best to get along.

Posting Don’ts

The key to being able to have an enjoyable experience on Deflategate is knowing your boundaries. Some of these points may seem like common sense, but we feel that we should lay them out for you, so that everyone is on the same page.

Nudity or pornography

This site is about sports, not porn. Stay on topic when commenting. Avoid using sexually explicit photos for your avatar. Vulgar, profane, or sexually graphic content (posts, member names, subject lines, images, etc.) is not allowed. It’s alright to love porn, but it’s not cool to post porn content on Deflategate.

Discriminatory Content

Deflategate does not like racists. So don’t be racist. We don't support content that promotes or condones violence against individuals or groups based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, nationality, veteran status or sexual orientation/gender identity, or whose primary purpose is inciting hatred on the basis of these fundamental characteristics. We encourage you to be yourselves and to express your thoughts freely, but be sensible with your comments.

Illegal Activity

Participation in, suggesting, or encouraging any illegal activity is cause for immediate deletion and suspension of posting privileges, and may be reported to the appropriate authorities. So don’t do it!

We ask that you respect copyrighted material. Before directly posting articles, news reports, videos, or other copyrighted material, please secure the permission of the relevant copyright owners. The rule of thumb is if you didn’t create it, make sure you are allowed to post it before you do so.

Deflategate doesn’t like spam. As a matter of fact, we don’t know of anyone who enjoys being spammed. We therefore ask you to not flood or spam, or post chain letters, pyramid schemes, junk mail, etc. If you need a more in-depth explanation of what we consider to be spam, we define spam as unsolicited advertisement for goods, services and/or other web sites, or posts with little, or completely unrelated content. Do not spam the forums with links to your site or product, or try to self-promote your website, business, or forums, etc. Spamming also includes sending private messages to a large number of different users.

Private Information

This is a public forum. Do not post any private information about yourself or your business that you do not wish to be widely available to the public. When sharing contact information, please send via private message. Your Display Name will be visible to all users and may show up in search results if crawled by the search engines. The Virtual Name feature, which is located in Edit Profile, can be used to create an alias for posting comments on Deflategate.
